A Season of Change Three months ago, on March 1, I formally began this journey by attending a church service and was inspired by someone's
example to make changes in my life. Then I opened my mind to the beautiful possibilities of life and observing with all senses
available. When I began this project my expectation was to just take photographs of churches, temples, and serene outdoor
settings. I never thought anything divine would actually be there though, not for me anyway. I always knew there was something
more than this reality, but I never truly believed in Jesus or his philosophy. Now I see the power of love, service to others,
and relinqiishing selishish attachments to the material world. I question this all daily and, more often, lose my way, but
I keep coming back to this path I've found through the treacherous wilderness of life - doing my best to guide others as well.

The beginning...Welcome to the houses
of God journal. I'm a novice in many regards so please bear with me as I learn. In my opinion, everything is a possible house
for the divine force which I call God.Often I wonder about the combination of predestination and freewill, or harmony and chaos. How can these things
co-exist? If God is omnipotent then choice would seem to be an illusion and, fundamentally, what is the purpose of life? Why
are we playing out these stories on the screen of space and time? How did life on a spinning rock suspended in darkness speckled
with fiery balls of light become our reality? So many questions. Maybe the uniting factor of all things is a quest
for sanctuary.
